Start your Engage 2010 experience off right and attend the first-ever Ignite NOLA!
On February 1st, 2010 from 7pm–9pm at the beautiful Roosevelt Hotel in downtown New Orleans, the very first Ignite NOLA is scheduled to begin. Tasty foods and beverages will be served.

What the heck is Ignite?
Ignite was created in 2006 to give innovators, idea wizards, and “what if” dreamers a way to share their ideas – but only gives them 5 minutes and 20 PowerPoint slides in which to share their vision. The result is super-refined thinking centered around interesting topics with a high entertainment value. Fun AND educational!
The Ignite phenom has spread to several cities, including Portland, Oregon, where Webtrends is headquartered. Now in its third year, Ignite is so popular in Portland that plans for an Ignite Portland 8 are now underway!
Because the Ignite events are such a great way to communicate sentiments, Webtrends is doing Ignite-style presentations – or sprints – instead of traditional hour-long keynotes at Engage 2010. Our presenters will have 10 minutes to share their insights on a wide range of topics of interest to digital marketers, analysts and customers. (We’re having two sprint sessions on February 2. Be sure to add them to your Engage Network calendar!)
So, is your inner innovator interested in presenting? Here’s how to be a speaker at Ignite NOLA:
- Fill out a form detailing their topic idea (which can be about anything!).
- Speakers create a 20-slide PowerPoint presentation about their topic (which auto advance every 15 seconds).
- Practice-practice-practice! Because there are only 5 minutes in which to convey innovative ideas, the presentation are often highly focused and super entertaining.
