Customer Spotlight: Halloween in Las Vegas on Facebook

Halloween in Las Vegas is probably unparalleled in it’s authenticity and imagination. In lieu of this year’s celebrations, The Las Vegas Halloween Parade (LVHP), created a Facebook presence for their sponsors. The Parade, held on Halloween night, is an all ages event complete with visual and performing artists contributing everything from live music to mobile artwork.

To drive awareness, LVHP launched a social campaign to help promote the event on Facebook. With the support of their sponsors and by utilizing the Webtrends Social platform, LVHP is able to walk their fans through an online scavenger hunt complete with trivia questions and ending with a sweepstakes where weekly prizes were awarded. Weekly prizes include meals, goody bags and accommodations along with a grand prize of 5 night stay in Las Vegas (there’s still time to enter!).

By utilizing the Webtrends social products to build the Apps that make up the scavenger hunt and sweepstakes, LVHP has been able to create a destination for their seasonal online community and ramp up awareness of the event. In addition to already doubling their fanbase year to date, the campaign has helped their sponsors increase their own fanbase and daily active users.
