Trilibis Mobile Strategies Forum Recap

April 10th, 2012

Topics: Events, Mobile, Mobile Measurement, Partners

Webtrends was a proud sponsor of the Trilibis Mobile Strategies Forum that took place last week in San Francisco at the Golden Gate Club. This stellar invitation-only event focused less on introductory 101 Mobile topics and more on mature Mobile strategies for those that have been involved in driving the growth of emerging Mobile campaigns.

I participated in a panel-based keynote address to kick off the event with Bruce Hershey, Director of Mobile Strategy at Merkle, and Ted Verani, SVP Sales & Marketing, at Trilibis. I also hosted multiple roundtable format workshops centered around the topics of “Segmenting & Optimizing Using Mobile” and “How To Be Relevant Within Mobile Campaigns.”  These two topics dovetailed nicely together and participants learned the importance of considering all digital channels when targeting and messaging customers with an emphasis on real-time all the time.

It was awesome to be around so many smart people who understood the hurdles and possibilities that Mobile marketing brings to the table. All of the session moderators who discussed Mobile strategy recommended the same building blocks regarding the campaign approach – always start with data and a strong measurement strategy.

Using industry reports along with your own data will enable you to make the most of your Mobile marketing spend. As Angel Evan, Managing Parter & Mobile Strategy for Dark Matter, said “what gets measured, gets funded” and I couldn’t agree more.

Overall the event was a smash hit and it was good to see many Webtrends customers there looking for guidance on their next Mobile move. We had strong, meaningful conversations with customers such as Kaiser Permanente, Camelbak and Wells Fargo.

Thank you to Trilibis and everyone else involved – we’ll see you at the next event!
