As Vice President of Engineering and Hosted Operations Bruce has the daily honor and challenge of keeping up with the spectacularly talented team of engineers and technologists that build and service Webtrends products.

Bruce has been working in the software industry for 20+ years and has taken a full immersion approach with senior leadership roles in Sales, Services and Marketing but always returning to Product Development as he finds he can influence company and customer success the most from the “Engine Room”. Bruce focuses on building products, not technologies, which drive business value for a passionate customer base.

He previously held positions at CRM pioneer Pivotal Corp where he was SVP of Products and in database connectivity pioneer Simba Technologies, authors of the world’s first ODBC driver (way back in the day circa 1992). Prior to those influential experiences Bruce was leading applied research at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in areas of applied learning, multi-media and graphical user interface development (pre-Windows & Mac era).

Bruce’s passions are his three teenage children and any pastime that revolves around water, frozen or liquid – steep and deep skiing in his native British Columbia, boating in the cruising paradise of Desolation Sound with family or fly fishing for trout anywhere and with anyone!
