We are just over one week away from WebTrends’ user conference, Engage09, April 7-9, and I am incredibly excited. I’ve attended this particular customer conference a couple of times but this will be my first as an employee of WebTrends.
If you have ever been involved in an event of this magnitude you know just how much work goes into the event, and all the hard work a marketing department, and company, contribute to pull it off. I am fortunate enough to work with a ton of dedicated people across many departments and partnering organizations that are pulling out all the stops to make Engage09 a truly great event.
Over the past few months we have been making a concerted effort here at WebTrends to express how we are an open and transparent company. I am confident that those customers, partners, sponsors and market influencers attending will see this in every aspect of Engage09. From the people who help in registration on day one, to the impromptu conversations in the hallways, the customer workshops and even the news we’ll distribute at the event, this is about one thing – an open exchange of ideas, thoughts and examples of how we can make the world of numbers more clear and actionable.
I wanted to take a quick moment to say thanks to all those who have registered, and also let others know that if you do want to attend, there is still time. In addition to our truly amazing customers and partners, sponsors and WebTrends employees there will be other notable names from across the industry.
Just some of them include:
Bill Gassman, Research Director, Gartner
John Lovett, Forrester Research
Derrick Harris, a blogger for GigaOm’s network where he writes about automation and cloud computing. At WebTrends we’ve been doing marketing analytics in the cloud for 15 years so I’m really looking forward to speaking with Derrick
Douglas Karr, VP of Blogging Evangelism for Compendium Blogware and an AdAge Power150 blogger. So, I can learn from him ![]()
Craig McLurg, someone with a ton of software development, project and business analysis experience and who will be blogging daily for Web Analytics World
Jacques Warren, who always delivers insightful conversations on the integration of web analytics with enterprise systems
Eric T. Peterson, a man everyone knows and who will have a lot of content that week for the Web Analytics Demystified blog
Jim Sterne, one of our industry’s great experts who will have lots of things to tweet about during the keynote events and break out sessions.
Anil Batra, a great #wa mind whom i’ve had the pleasure of working with prior to joining WebTrends.
I’ll see you in Vegas….baby !
